The Fanfarenzug Ottheinrich currently consists of 72 active members who are divided into 3 groups, flags (field banners and throwing flags), fanfare players (four-part) and Landsknecht drummers (three-part). The performance strength is around 40 members.
Our costumes are Landsknecht costumes made according to original cuts from the time of Count Palatine Ottheinrich around 1504. We can proudly claim that our appearance is unique in the fanfare parade landscape. Our appearance is not monochromatic, we are colourful and thus do justice to the image of a group of lansquenets. Our instruments are natural tone instruments, without valves and resonances. We only play fanfare pieces; melodies from past and present pop and rock history are alien to us.

In over 40 years of association history, we have been able to gain a lot of experience in the context of Europe-wide performances. For example, we regularly enjoy our historic Neuburg Castle Festival as well as the castle festivals in Burghausen and Kaprun. We travel to Italy, France and Austria every year and have been able to demonstrate our skills in Kaprun (Austria), Burghausen (Germany), Scarperia (Italy) and Sansepolcro (Italy) in recent years. You can find a detailed history of our performances here.
If you are interested in having us perform at your castle festival, knights' tournament or medieval festival, please do not hesitate to send us an enquiry to t.moebius[@]fanfarenzug-ottheinrich.de.
